Stornoway Gazette, 25 October 1918
It is with deep regret we record the death at the Western Front of Pte
Donald Morrison, Royal Enniskillen Fusiliers, only son of Donald
Morrison, 21 Laxay. The deceased, who had just attained 23 years,
enlisted in the RNR during the war, but was discharged due to ill
health. Upon recovery he rejoined, but met his end after only four
months. Sincere and heartfelt sympathy is extended to his bereaved
parents, sisters and relatives in this, their hour of sorrow and bitter
trial.
