Stornoway Gazette, 15 November 1918
It is with much regret we announce the death of Pte Norman Morrison, son of Angus Morrison, 22 North Dell. His father received official intimation that he died of wounds in France on 1 October 1918. He was an exceptionally bright and cheerful lad and was a general favourite with everyone, young and old. News of his death will be met with genuine regret by a large circle of friends at home and abroad. He was at home only a short while ago and returned to France as cheery and optimistic as ever. The sympathy of the whole district is extended to his bereaved parents and brothers in their irrepairable loss.
