Stornoway Gazette
News has been received that Pte Angus Morrison, Canadians, son of the late Murdo Morrison, Skigersta, was killed in action on 12th June. Before settling in Canada, he was sailing between Glasgow and New York, and was on the SS "Columbia" when that vessel collided with an iceberg in the Atlantic some years ago. After sailing for some time on the American coast, he worked ashore, and later joined the 102nd Battalion in September 1915. He visited his friends at Ness a year ago, and looked a fine specimen of a soldier. Both his parents died during his absence in Canada. Much sympathy is felt for his relatives.
