Lost at the Battle of Jutland.

John was one of the chidlren of Roderick (1856) and Ann  (1859), the others being Chirsty Ann (1899), John (1895), Malcolm, Mary (1892) and Murdo (1898).

His brother Malcolm also served in the RNR, but survived the war.
