Another soldier falls
Last Tuesday [14 April 1917] Mr Donald
Macleod, Aird Uig, received the sad news of the death of his son, Pte
Malcolm Macleod, in France. He joined early in the war, and had been in
many a hot engagement with the Boches. He left behind a young widow and
three children, to whom as well as to his brothers and sisters and to
his aged parents, deep sympathy is extended. This is the second of
Aird’s sons to fall in battle.
