Kenneth is shown in the 1901 census at 36 Habost, at the home of his grandmother Catherine Morrison (60), with his mother Annie (30) and siblings Catherine (6), Murdo (2) and Marion (2).
His brother Murdo served in the Trawler Section of the RNR, but survived the war.

Mens Hero Killed
News has been received of the death in action in Mesopotamia of Pte
Kenneth Morrison, son of the late Mr Alex Morrison, Adabrock, and of Mrs
Smith, 30 Habost. Kenneth was a most fearless soldier and his daring
deeds are well known in his regiment. He went to France in 1914 and
later on was transferred to Mesopotamia. He never had any leave since
joining up. Much sympathy is expressed for the bereaved families.
